Scenes from a party...
In June, Songs of Ourselves author, Gail Reitano, visited our office in Allentown, Pennsylvania with her mother. Of course, an author visiting from the left coast is a cause for celebration and celebrate we did. Our summer intern Abigail Gillespie with the help of Judy Miller, also a contributor to Songs of Ourselves, organized the event and the party went off swimmingly. Abigail had a cake made with the image of the book cover on it--we still don't know how they do that!--but the sweetest part of the evening was hearing authors read their work. It was moving and intimate and I think we all made new friends that night.

Turns out....
you CAN tell a book by it's cover. Jim McGarrah's OFF TRACK is a finalist in the da Vinci Eye/Eric Hoffer award competition.
